We live in the beautiful West Michigan area, near Grand Rapids, in the village of Ada. We bought our house here almost seven years ago. We have always lived in Michigan and love living where there are four seasons. Jason and I have been married for almost 8 years. It is amazing how quickly times goes. We met in 2003 and knew we were going to get married right away. We waited until I was done with college at Grand Valley State University to get married- 3 months to be exact! We were married in July 2005. Jason graduated from ITT Technical Institute in 2006. He has been working for Attwood Corporation in Lowell for 5 years. I took a part time job when Victoria was born in 2010, but have recently been unemployed and staying home since our second daughter, Isabella, was born in 2012. Our daughters are our everything. They amaze us everyday as they grow. We have been amazed at how much they learn everyday, and teach us. We never expected to have 2 daughters, but look forward to how much fun they will have together as Isabella grows!
God has blessed our marriage from the beginning as we serve him. We trust in His plans. We are far from perfect and know we have to fully rely on God as a couple and as parents. We attend Ada Bible Church in Ada and love serving God together and learning about him through the amazing teaching there. We love our small group that we meet with through Ada as well.
In the last couple of years, we have made some major changes/improvements to our lifestyle in terms of how we eat and exercise. I started working at DBC Natural Holistic Health Center in Grand Rapids right after Victoria was born and our lives have never been the same since. I now cook all whole foods from scratch. Everything I cook is gluten, dairy, and egg free. We eat meat only once a week or so. We have learned so much through DBC, books I've read, and documentaries about food in America and wellness. We have never felt or looked better! It has changed our lives in such a positive way and we love sharing and educating anyone who asks! See more on our whole foods lifestyle on the "Why Gluten/Dairy Free?" page.
